With less than two hours remaining in the transfer window, it is understood that there could be some exits from Old Trafford this summer. There have been speculations linking the trio of Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones with moves away from the club.
News outlet The Mirror claims that Manchester United have slapped a price tag of £30 million for defender Chris Smalling. According to the report, the Red Devils are not interested in a loan deal but want a permanent transfer for the 27-year-old.
Smalling signed a new contract last season which ties him to the club until 2022 and it appears that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer views him as a backup to Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof. Meanwhile, Marcos Rojo is the subject of a late bid from Everton.
The Toffees are said to be interested in signing the defender after the departure of Kurt Zouma back to Chelsea. A transfer fee of around £25 million has been touted for the defender and a deal looks possible with the player set to undergo a medical.
Phil Jones looks unlikely to leave the club this summer with no major transfer news about his future. However, this is deadline day when anything is possible.
